Legacy Foundation is excited to invite you to our 2010 College Readiness Fund Grant Workshop. This session will provide you with the "KnowHow2Apply skills for our College Readiness Fund Application. The College Readiness Fund was created to serve students who are low income and are the first in their family to attend college. Legacy Foundation will consider making awards to organizations that clearly demonstrate that college access is a priority. Programs may include, but are not limited to tutoring, mentoring, college tours, and financial aid counseling.

The presenters at the College Readiness Fund Grant Workshop will include:

  • Karen Bush, Learn More Indiana.

    Karen will provide organizations with the 4 Steps of the KnowHow2GO Campaign, Learn More Indiana, 21st Century Scholars and the Indiana Commission on Higher Education.

  • Sarah Froneck, Indiana Department of Education.

    Sarah will provide organizations with important information about CORE 40, ISTEP, Advanced Placement Courses and other pertinent information regarding graduating from high school.

  • Jackie Garvey, Indiana Partnership Center.

    Jackie will include successful strategies for engaging parents as partners. Participants will gain knowledge about research in Indiana to increase parental engagement.

  • Melvyn Harding, Educational Talent Search, Purdue University Calumet.

    Melvyn will share info on the college readiness initiatives taking place on the campus of Purdue Calumet.

College Readiness Fund Application (Overview)

Legacy Foundation will equip participants with the tools to apply for the College Readiness Fund Grant. All applicants must attend the College Readiness Fund Grant Workshop to apply for funding.
